Across the world, followers of Jesus live and multiply in ways that are simple, Spirit-led, and deeply relational. Their practices often look different from the patterns common in the West. They see things differently, read the Bible differently, and live differently, and the fruit is undeniable.
North American churches have much to learn from these movements. In many places, discipleship multiplies naturally as believers walk closely with Jesus and one another. These stories are not just for their contexts; they reveal practices that can reshape how we think about life with God.
9 Things I Learned About Discipleship
Twenty years of working with dozens of nations synthesized into 9 key paradigm shifts. Each has an accompanying graphic that helps us live the way they've modeled.
5 Ways I Learned to Understand Mission
Five perspectives gleaned from working alongside growing church movements around the world, including the Mission Strategy Map which provides an overall description of the stages.
These paradigms are my way of describing the patterns I've observed as God moves in the nations and in the Bible.
The chapters in these books each have related Pathways. There are lots of great books out there, but reading is not the same as doing.
Pathways are an invitation not just to reflect on what you've read, but to engage with another person in living it out. The steps provide just enough guidance to help you listen to the Holy Spirit and each other.
The books are being written and refined now.
I'm writing a chapter each week and immediately getting feedback on each one before refining and then publishing the book as a whole.
